Maurice Gerard Greco (1938-2012)
M. Gerard (Jerry) Greco was born in 1938 in Newark NJ, son of the late Mauro Greco and Theresa Valente of Belmar, NJ. He served in the US Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1959. Jerry earned a BS degree in Civil Engineering from NJIT. He had a long and successful career in civil and structural engineering as owner of his own business, M. Gerard Greco Inc, Consulting Engineer & Land Surveyor, in Colonia NJ. He was a Licensed Professional Engineer, Licensed Land Surveyor and Licensed Professional Planner in several states. Jerry enjoyed his retirement years in Myrtle Beach where he was an avid golfer. His hobby was model ship building where he spent countless hours crafting masterful replicas of some of the world’s most famous ships. He looked forward to Sundays with his friends at Harry’s to watch his beloved New York Giants. He passed away peacefully at age 74 in 2012 in Myrtle Beach.
This website is a memorial to his skill, passion, and hard work in creating these historical masterpieces and documenting them every step of the way. He would be pleased to be able to share them with others to learn about their history and view their intricate designs and stories.
